TANGO
My current body of work on Argentine Tango reflects my earlier and lifelong career as a dancer and as
one who is an eternal student of the body in motion as well as the dance. Although I have acquired several techniques
that were needed by choreographers, I never found the time or opportunity to study this confounding tango dance until recently.
In fact just to become a follower in tango was a major hurdle! I have persevered the form of the dance by walking (dancing)
backward in four inch heels with my partner in front of me. Of course he should be behind me where he has always rightfully
belonged! This major effort has been for the lure of being able to acquire enough technique to obtain the limitless possibilities of
dancing to the addictive music. Argentine Tango becomes obsessive, as is drawing and painting and so they are now all
joined in the endless dance together for me.
